AbbVie Inc. in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Scientist I to join the Dermatology Discovery team within Immunology R&D.

The role focuses on identifying and validating therapeutics for inflammatory skin diseases using human disease transcriptomics, multi-omics, and wet-bench studies to drive translational insights. The candidate will perform in vitro models with keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and immune cells, applying assays and analyses to advance preclinical research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, immunology or related biological sciences (BS/BA) with 5 years of experience.
• Master’s degree with 2 years of experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Culture sterile cell lines and primary cells.
• Process and analyze ex-vivo human tissues for disease endpoints.
• Perform analyses: Flow cytometry, qPCR, ELISA and multiplex assays.
• Conduct Western blotting and microscopy.
• Develop assays monitoring cellular processes and analyze data.
• Maintain detailed records in electronic lab notebook.
