Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Dermatology Assistant to provide clinical and documentation support in a fast-paced dermatology setting. You will assist with biopsies, prepare exam rooms, document encounters in real time, and help coordinate post-visit tasks while maintaining HIPAA standards.

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week benefitted position with day shifts. A high school diploma and BLS certification are required, with prior scribe/MA/PCA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proven ability to document medical encounters in EMR.
• Strong computer, typing, and data entry skills.
• Ability to learn dermatology terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare exam rooms for visits.
• Document encounters in real time in the EMR.
• Assist with dermatologic procedures and specimen handling.
• Capture and manage clinical photography per HIPAA.
• Coordinate post-visit tasks and follow-up scheduling.
• Support regulatory readiness and supplies management.
• Foster clear team communication and onboarding of new staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
