Pacific Dermatology Institute is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support dermatology services across our clinics. You will work closely with providers to deliver medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program with potential certifications; dermatology experience is preferred, along with strong EMR skills and familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Program (National Certification preferred).
• Medical Assistant with 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting; Dermatology experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid Certification preferred.
• Certified Dermatology Training (CDT) within the first 90 days.
• Proficiency with ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Office Manager with back-office operations.
• Report potential employer liability issues or patient complaints to the Office Manager.
• Prepare rooms and instruments for procedures.
• Prepare trays for biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and I&D.
• Verify patient information and obtain necessary consents.
• Room patients and assist providers during procedures.
• Prepare patients for tests and obtain signed consent.
• Maintain accurate logs of patient information and biopsies.
• Scribe patient information into the EMR (medical history, notes, Rx).
• Administer injections, remove sutures, and assist with wound care.
