Job summary

Skin and Cancer Institute is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support clinical operations, patient care, and documentation. You will assist providers, perform procedures, and ensure accurate medical records in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

Responsibilities include patient intake, injections, lab support, and collaboration with the clinical team. Experience in medical offices and proficiency with EHRs are preferred; a CMA/RMA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
• Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality customer service and adhere to quality standards.
• Coordinate patient care per physician instructions and policies.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Document patient intake and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist in dermatologic procedures and wound care using sterile techniques.
• Sterilize instruments and keep exam rooms clean.
• Process prescriptions during visits and verify accuracy with providers.
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
