Pacific Dermatology Institute is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services in Palm Desert, CA. This full-time role offers a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with hands-on patient care.

Responsibilities include room preparation, procedure support, patient documentation in EMR, injections and suturing, and sterile technique.

Qualificações

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Certification Program; National Certification preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a medical clinic; Dermatology experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications preferred.
• CDT certification within the first 90 days.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Assists the Office Manager with the execution of all aspects of the back-office operations.
• Prepares rooms and instruments for the day’s activities.
• Aids providers during medical and surgical procedures and patient education.
• Prepares patients for procedures and obtains signed consent.
• Scribes patient information in the EMR system and documents notes.
• Maintains sterilization procedures and inventories; cleans equipment.
