Job summary

Skin and Cancer Institute in Palmdale, CA seeks a Back Office Medical Assistant to support clinicians, manage patient flow, and document care accurately. This role focuses on pre-exam preparation, injections, sterile technique, and coordinating with the dermatology team.

You will assist in biopsies, excisions, phototherapy, and other dermatologic procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality and a compassionate approach to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and assist providers.
• Assist in dermatology procedures and wound care.
• Prepare patients for exams and document histories.
• Maintain medical records and HIPAA compliance.
• Administer injections under supervision.
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars.
