R.J. Corman Railroad Group seeks an experienced leader to assist in the daily management of a derailment operations division. You will supervise personnel and equipment, ensure readiness for wreck-site work, and maintain strong customer relations in the division’s market.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, scheduling operations, enforcing safety standards, managing budgets, and reporting divisional performance. Extensive travel to wreck sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the management of derailment operations, or related heavy equipment and recovery operations.
• Ability to train employees in derailment equipment operation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Division Superintendent in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with divisional customers and generating new business.
• Recruit, select and train division personnel, including safety and Hazmat training.
• Plan and schedule readiness, mobilization, response time, and efficiency of on-site work and demobilization.
• Coordinate permits and compliance for movement of divisional equipment.
• Enforce safety and conduct rules; manage disciplinary actions.
• Oversee payroll changes, promotions and performance evaluations for division staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, budgeting, billing, purchasing and DOT regulations.
• Maintain equipment, shop, and supply readiness; monitor costs against budgets.
• Provide regular updates to Regional Operations Manager on divisional issues.
