Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the management of derailment operations or related heavy equipment recovery operations.
• Experience coordinating operations and scheduling activities with emphasis on maintaining good employee relations is preferred.
• Ability to train employees in derailment equipment operation.
• Basic data entry and retrieval skills using word processing and spreadsheets.
• Basic business math and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe, efficient daily management of emergency derailment operations within a division.
• Maintain relationships with derailment customers and supervise on-call wreck-site work.
• Oversee equipment readiness, repair, and shop maintenance for the division.
• Support recruiting, training, and placement of division personnel.
• Plan work to ensure readiness, mobilization, response time, and on-site safety compliance.
• Obtain appropriate permits for movement of divisional equipment and plan routes to wreck sites.
• Enforce safety and conduct rules and address disciplinary actions as needed.
