Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Deputy Technical Program Manager to lead the CMM Data Modernization and Governance team, directing data governance, data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives to support AO’s modernization program.

You’ll oversee contract execution, manage senior relations, and drive Agile delivery, risk management, and IMS across multiple concurrent work streams to achieve a high level of operational maturity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT management with data governance, standards, and modernization.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• PMI PMP certification is required.
• Experience leading big data cloud, cybersecurity, BI and analytics teams.
• Excellent customer-facing skills with senior leadership briefing experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact to oversee contract execution and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Provides contract coordination, performance accountability, and strategic stakeholder engagement.
• Serves as the senior technical authority across development, architecture, integration, and modernization activities.
• Define the program’s technical strategy, architecture vision, engineering standards, and modernization roadmap.
• Ensure technical alignment with enterprise, security, and compliance standards.
• Manage internal and external communications strategy, reporting, and coordination.
• Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with milestones and dependencies.
• Provide biweekly Agile reports such as sprint reports, backlog reports, and risk logs.
