Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office is seeking Deputies to provide law enforcement across the county, including surrounding towns. No prior law enforcement experience required; a comprehensive training program is provided.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or vocational school (48 credit hours) required.
• Two years of active, full-time military experience or two years of work experience as a certified law enforcement officer or four years of professional work experience are acceptable alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the county to investigate illegal or suspicious activities and enforce laws.
• Conduct thorough investigations, interview victims and witnesses, and locate individuals with warrants.
• Serve warrants and legal documents; perform civil process procedures and respond to dispatch calls.
• Engage with the community to promote safety and participate in public outreach.
