Qualifications

• Applicants must be 21 years of age.
• Lateral deputies require one year of patrol experience or one year of sworn correctional experience and POST training.

Responsibilities

• Serve in patrol, custody, court, and investigation divisions with various specialty assignments.
• Provide law enforcement for unincorporated Marin County communities and rural areas and protect court facilities.
• Process, guard, transport, and supervise prisoners and maintain court security.
• Assist in writing clear, accurate reports and collaborate with district attorneys and other agencies.
