Job summary

Leidos seeks a Deputy Project Manager to lead studies for the TPS prototype program in the Strategic Hypersonics Division. You will support planning, tracking, and execution under schedule and budget constraints, coordinating with industry, government, and national labs across dispersed locations.

The role requires a strong technical background in high-temperature materials, with leadership to meet aggressive schedules and multi-agency requirements. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 8-12 years of experience leading projects.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong technical background in testing, planning and scheduling for complex programs.
• Strong communication and briefing skills with senior gov’t customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager in leadership of all PM functions.
• Plan, track, and execute tasks within technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Lead a large, diverse team including industry, government and national labs.
• Coordinate with multiple government agencies and customers.
• Oversee cost estimating, budgeting, and earned value management.
