Job summary

WSP in the U.S. seeks a Deputy Project Manager in the Seattle, WA area to support financial management and operational delivery of the Construction Management practice.

You will work at the intersection of project execution, budgeting, reporting, and client service. This role emphasizes developing dashboards, tracking budgets and schedules, and ensuring contract compliance across public and private projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting project financials, project controls, project management, or CM programs.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting understanding.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports and dashboards.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Monitor budgets, labor utilization, and contract performance.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and project performance summaries.
• Support earned revenue projections, backlog tracking, and resource forecasting.
• Review labor charges, invoices, reimbursable expenses, and project expenditures for accuracy.
• Assist with budgets, task orders, and contract modifications.
• Identify budget risks and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards for leadership and clients.
• Prepare status reports and track KPIs across projects.
• Support executive portfolio reporting and performance improvements.
