Job summary

WSP USA seeks an organized Deputy Project Manager in Seattle, WA (with offices in Tacoma, Vancouver, Portland, and Bend) to support financial management, contract administration, and PM leadership within the Construction Management practice.

The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, reporting, and compliance, working closely with project managers, resident engineers, and client teams to deliver value and ensure audit-ready project records across multiple assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business, finance or accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting project financials, controls or construction management.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and financial reporting skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports and dashboards.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, and contract performance across multiple construction management assignments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and project performance summaries.
• Support project managers with revenue projections, backlog tracking, and resource forecasting.
• Review labor charges, invoices, reimbursable expenses, and project expenditures for accuracy.
• Assist with budget development, task order tracking, and contract modifications.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards for executive leadership, project managers, and clients.
• Track key performance indicators including budget, schedule, staffing, utilization, invoicing, and collections.
• Support development of executive-level reporting for business operations and portfolio management.
• Analyze project trends and provide recommendations to improve performance and profitability.
