Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Deputy Project Manager in Seattle, WA to support financial management and operational delivery of Construction Management projects. You will help project managers maintain budgets, forecast resource needs, track performance, and ensure audit-ready documentation across multiple assignments.

The role involves preparing executive-level reports and dashboards, managing invoicing, and coordinating with accounting staff to drive project profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting project financials, project controls, project management, or construction management programs.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience preparing executive-level reports and dashboards.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support budgets, forecast resource needs, and track contract performance for multiple CM assignments.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and project performance summaries.
• Support project managers with earned revenue projections, backlog tracking, and resource forecasting.
• Review labor charges, consultant invoices, reimbursable expenses, and project expenditures for accuracy.
• Assist with budget development, task order tracking, and contract modifications.
• Identify budget risks and recommend corrective actions before impacts occur.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards for leadership and clients.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual project status reports.
• Track KPIs including budget, schedule, staffing, utilization, invoicing, and collections.
• Support executive reporting for business operations and portfolio management.
• Analyze project trends and provide recommendations to improve performance and profitability.
• Support project managers with contract compliance and documentation control.
• Assist with change management processes and audits.
