Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to shape power utility projects in Irvine, CA. You will guide cross‑discipline teams from development to close‑out, ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project lifecycle under supervision.
  • Responsible for aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project.
  • Coordinate workload through project execution and deliverables on budget and schedule.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to stay within budget and schedule.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, Accounting, Operations and Business leadership for periodic reviews.
  • Implement QMS procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project.
  • Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule.
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of an agreed‑to budget and schedule.
  • Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
  • Implement QMS procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
  • 5+ years project management experience for power utility projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5 years related experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, and have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
