Job summary

AeroVironment seeks a Deputy Program Manager to oversee control accounts spanning project development, scope, schedule, and budget. Deep program management and Earned Value Management knowledge, plus leadership, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

The role involves negotiating scope, schedules, and budgets, creating WBS and WAD, and maintaining resource-loaded schedules while monitoring performance against baselines. DoD clearance and ITAR compliance are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field.
• DoD or DoE contract experience with EVM is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication; leadership and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for assigned control accounts.
• Negotiate scope of work and document in WBS Dictionary and WAD.
• Develop, subdivide, and manage work packages and resource-loaded schedules.
• Perform variance analyses, milestone reviews, and estimate to complete assessments.
• Propose baseline changes and implement corrective actions while protecting the baseline integrity.
