Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Lead Project Manager to coordinate staffing, manage cross-functional teams, and drive project execution.

You will interface with Program Managers and Engineering leads to ensure proper skill mix and on-time delivery in a fast-paced defense-oriented environment. Responsibilities include developing PM plans, leading team meetings, tracking costs, managing vendor relationships, and producing monthly customer status reports while identifying process improvements to raise

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management for technical programs.
• Experience interfacing with customers and external partners.
• Knowledge of risk management and PMBOK principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and update Project Management Plans to track progress and cost.
• Lead weekly project team meetings and manage resources.
• Track labor, non-labor, and material costs.
• Coordinate 3rd party vendors and manage customer meetings.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and manage scope/schedule changes.
