Groundswell is hiring a Deputy Program Manager in the McLean, VA area to lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives for federal clients. The role requires a US citizen and active Secret clearance is preferred, with local travel to client sites within the DC metro area.

The candidate should reside near McLean and work in the office three to four days per week. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of project management leadership, experience with SAFe Agile, and a proven ability to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience across enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams at all levels in a matrixed environment.
• Strong ability to evaluate project scope, estimate work effort, and develop delivery plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day project leadership across the lifecycle using SAFe Agile to drive execution and delivery.
• Define and implement standard project management processes across change, risk, communications, and scheduling.
• Collaborate with leadership to define and prioritize activities aligned with business goals.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and customer experience.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and comply with policies and regulations.
• Develop and execute project communications for leadership, teams, and customers.
• Support go-live by addressing roadblocks and coordinating issue resolution.
• Foster relationships with OEMs and subcontractors to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Oversee team performance to meet schedule, quality, budget, and commitments.
• Perform work assigned by leadership.
