Job summary

Health Dimensions Group seeks an Assistant Executive Director to support the Executive Director at the Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks, NV. The 96-bed community delivers skilled nursing, short-term rehab, long-term care, and memory care, with a mission to serve Nevada veterans and their families.

The role leads operations, drives quality and regulatory compliance, and partners with department leaders to ensure exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with project planning, development, and implementation preferred.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare partners and interdisciplinary teams.
• Understanding of operational and financial components of skilled nursing and long-term care.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations applicable to skilled nursing and long-term care.
• Computer proficiency and comfort with business systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Executive Director to plan, develop, and implement operational strategies that support resident care and community performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the 96-bed veterans home with focus on quality care and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership in the Executive Director’s absence and support a collaborative leadership team.
• Develop and implement community policies and procedures.
• Support operational excellence across all care services and programs.
• Participate in budget development and financial reporting with the Executive Director and Finance leadership.
