Job summary

Health Dimensions Group seeks an Assistant Executive Director to support the Executive Director at Northern Nevada State Veterans Home in Sparks, Nevada. This 96-bed skilled nursing community provides memory care, short-term rehab, and long-term care, with a focus on resident-centered operations.

Lead operations, assure quality, and drive regulatory compliance while mentoring department leaders and collaborating with staff, residents, and families in HDG's mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with project planning, development, and implementation preferred.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare partners and interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations applicable to skilled nursing and long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement operational strategies to support resident care and community performance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of a 96-bed veterans home.
• Act as Executive Director in their absence.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the community.
• Budget development and financial reporting support.
• Coach and develop department leaders and staff.
• Build relationships with residents, families, staff and partners.
