Job summary

The City of New York, through NYC DOT's Transit Development unit, seeks a City Planner to oversee rapid bus service initiatives and transit priority projects. You will work with MTA and internal teams to develop street designs, manage grants, and lead community outreach and environmental reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in city planning or related field; two years of full-time city planning experience.
• Graduate education may substitute for experience with a Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sub-unit developing rapid bus service in coordination with MTA.
• Lead community outreach, grant management, and environmental review processes.
• Track project development and coordinate with other sub-units and MTA.
• Help hire and develop staff and prepare executive briefing materials.
• Engage with public boards, the general public, and elected officials.
