Job summary

The Deputy Director of Infrastructure Planning at Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority will oversee a team responsible for developing facilities projects from inception through conceptual design, evaluating purpose and need, and finalizing the program before advancing into final design and construction under the Capital Delivery Department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex public infrastructure projects.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple project managers.
• Strong collaboration with Operations, Safety and Environmental teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program and planning phase for bus maintenance facility projects.
• Manage a team of two to three project managers.
• Develop test fits and conceptual designs using Revit or AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with external agencies, abutters, utilities and community groups.
• Prepare project presentations for elected officials and stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement of consultants and contractors.
• Manage multiple design, engineering, and consulting teams to deliver on time and budget.
