Job summary

New York Edge is seeking a Deputy Director of Community Schools to lead and strengthen our portfolio of school-based programs. You will oversee daily operations, program design, risk management, staff recruitment and supervision, data analysis, and fiscal oversight to ensure high-quality, compliant services for students and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in education, youth development, social work, or related field.
• Five years of management experience, preferably supervising school-based, multi-site programs.
• Experience with NYC public school systems and DYCD; knowledge of Community School framework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead program operations across multiple sites to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Design and implement innovative programming aligned with funder guidelines and youth development frameworks.
• Oversee staff recruitment, training, supervision, and performance evaluations.
• Foster relationships with principals, school leaders, families, and community partners to advance the Community School model.
• Manage site-level budgets, expenditures, and ensure grant compliance.
