Job summary

SteerBridge, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Chief Technology Officer (DCTO), Infrastructure to own cloud architecture, security compliance, corporate network, and IT foundation supporting federal technology initiatives.

The role reports to the CTO and interfaces with Architecture Review Boards, driving defensible security and scalable infrastructure across programs and internal systems. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

12+ years in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or security engineering, incl. 5+ years in federal or highly regulated environments.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven ability to design and lead delivery of cloud-native infrastructure supporting FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO requirements.
Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, IAM, and endpoint security.
Strong command of NIST 800-53 controls, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and the federal ATO lifecycle.
Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple programs.
Excellent communication, documentation, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture Leadership: Direct the design, governance, and continuous improvement of SteerBridge's cloud architecture across all program environments.
Security Compliance & Risk Management: Own the security posture, including RMF/ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and remediation.
Corporate Network & IT Operations: Lead network architecture and operations, IAM, and endpoint protection for internal IT environment.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company to government officials, auditors, and executives, translating infra decisions into risk terms.
Governance & Standards: Chair or participate in Architecture Review Boards and Technical Risk Committee across multiple programs.
Program & People Leadership: Mentor infra, network, and security engineers; build growth plans with Career Ladder.
Vendor & Tooling Strategy: Manage vendor landscape for cloud, network, and security operations.
Cross-Program Coordination: Align infra and security requirements with program milestones.
Delivery Management: Plan, sprint, and release manage infra initiatives; report progress to leadership.
