Job summary

SteerBridge seeks a senior IT infrastructure and cloud security leader to own enterprise cloud architecture, security compliance, and RMF/ATO delivery across federal programs. You will direct design and governance of cloud platforms and supervise cross-functional teams to meet DoD IL4/IL5, VAEC, and FedRAMP standards.

Job description

• Own cloud architecture, security compliance, corporate network, and IT foundation for SteerBridge's federal technology portfolio
• Direct design, governance, and continuous improvement of cloud architecture across program environments
• Manage RMF/ATO packages, continuous monitoring, and remediation of security findings
• Lead corporate network architecture and operations, including connectivity, segmentation, identity and access management, and endpoint protection
• Represent SteerBridge to government authorizing officials, auditors, and executive leadership
• Chair or participate in Architecture Review Boards and the Technical Risk Committee
• Guide and mentor infrastructure, network, and security engineers and develop technical growth plans
• Evaluate and manage cloud, network, and security vendors and tooling
• Coordinate with program technical leads to prioritize infrastructure and security requirements
• Coordinate planning, sprint execution, and release management, reporting progress, risks, and dependencies to executive leadership

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or security engineering, including at least 5 years supporting federal or highly regulated environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (required)
• Proven ability to design and lead delivery of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) supporting FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO requirements
• Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, corporate IT operations, identity and access management, and endpoint security
• Strong command of NIST 800-53 controls, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and the federal Authority to Operate lifecycle
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional infrastructure, network, and security teams across multiple concurrent programs
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and executive stakeholder engagement skills
• Active certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred
• Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning and compliance tooling (e.g., Tenable.SC/Nessus), SIEM platforms, and Zero Trust architecture preferred
• Experience operating within VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC), DoD IL4/IL5, or other federal accreditation boundaries preferred
• Background managing security compliance across multiple concurrent ATO packages and program boundaries preferred
• Familiarity with SOC operations, incident response planning, and corporate network segmentation strategy preferred
