The Deputy CTO, Infrastructure will own cloud architecture, security compliance (RMF/ATO), and IT foundation across SteerBridge’s federal technology portfolio and internal systems. Reporting to the CTO, this role partners with Architecture Review Boards to align program infrastructure with risk terms, builds a skilled team, and drives secure, scalable operations for programs like

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, or security engineering experience in regulated environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (required).
• Proven ability to design and lead delivery of cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO.
• Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture, corporate IT operations, IAM, and endpoint security.
• Strong command of NIST 800-53 controls, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and federal ATO lifecycle.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams across multiple programs.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct cloud architecture, governance, and cost-efficient growth across programs.
• Own security compliance posture including RMF/ATO packages and monitoring.
• Lead corporate network and IT operations, IAM, and endpoint protection.
• Engage executives and government officials to translate technical risk into business terms.
• Chair or participate in Architecture Review Boards and risk committees.
• Mentor engineers and develop career growth plans.
• Evaluate vendor and tooling options for compliant cloud, network, and security ops.
• Collaborate with program leads to prioritize infrastructure requirements.
• Coordinate delivery planning, sprints, and release management for infra initiatives.
