Job summary

SteerBridge, Inc. in Vienna, VA is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to own security infrastructure and automation for a mission-critical VA Disability Claims platform running in AWS GovCloud.

You will build and maintain log pipelines, CI/CD and IaC pipelines, and security services across accounts, ensuring reliable data and secure deployments. You will partner with security, cloud, and development teams, implementing guardrails, conducting root-cause analysis, and documenting controls in

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract work.
• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud security, or security engineering, preferably AWS.
• Terraform and Terragrunt required; IaC security scanning tools.
• Experience building and securing CI/CD pipelines with SAST/DAST/SCA.
• Experience logging pipelines into a SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel preferred).
• Experience with AWS security services across multiple accounts.
• Experience with containerized workloads (Docker, ECS, Fargate, or Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong collaboration across security, ops, and dev teams to balance security with delivery speed.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security log pipelines into Microsoft Sentinel from AWS and SaaS sources.
• Own GitLab CI/CD pipelines for Terraform/Terragrunt across GovCloud accounts.
• Harden pipelines with least-privilege roles, secret management, and gate checks.
• Standardize container build/release for ECS/Fargate with signed images and lifecycle policies.
• Maintain security baseline: IAM, encryption, network segmentation.
• Support zero-trust configuration and change management.
• Document controls with runbooks supporting NIST 800-53, RMF, ATO.
