This position involves managing pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and initial operations activities for a major greenfield LNG project. The Deputy Commissioning Manager provides daily direction to the Pre-commissioning, Technical, and Process Safety Managers, supporting the planning and execution of the CSU program.

Job Summary

The Deputy Commissioning Manager should have experience in organizational and activity management, LNG projects, and industry-standard pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operations practices. The role reports to the Deputy Senior CSU Manager.

Major Responsibilities

• Manage startup and operations activities on major or multiple projects.
• Plan and direct startup engineering assignments and perform performance reviews.
• Coordinate with project management and other stakeholders during startup and operations.
• Prepare operations manuals and supervise subordinate staff.
• Estimate staffing needs, schedule, and assign work to meet project timelines.
• Conduct execution planning and manage progress reporting, making proactive adjustments as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree with 13-15 years of relevant experience, or 17-19 years of work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Extensive knowledge of startup and plant operations, preferably LNG.
• Understanding of engineering systems, calculations, and industry standards.
• Experience managing craft supervision and leading major capital projects.

Additional Details

This is a part-time telework position, requiring at least three days per week onsite in Houston, TX.
