The Vermont Public Utility Commission is seeking a Deputy Clerk in Montpelier, VT. This exempt, full-time role supports the Clerk in records management, scheduling, and regulatory tasks related to ePUC, with public and customer service duties as a core component.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience, with a strong capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to a quasi-judicial regulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years in operations, customer service, or 6 years of court-related experience.
• Experience using electronic case management systems is highly valued.
• Strong ability to work independently in a time-sensitive, high-pressure environment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain records and assist as acting clerk when needed.
• Provide regulatory support: review documents, schedule, issue orders.
• Manage dig safe cases processing and related tasks.
• Lead staff on the Commission’s electronic case management system (ePUC) development and liaison with the product developer.
• Provide public and customer service, respond to inquiries and assist with ePUC usage.
