University of North Carolina Charlotte is seeking an Assistant Vice Chancellor for HR Operations/Deputy CHRO to lead compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, HRIS, and workforce administration. The role reports to the CHRO and acts as Acting CHRO in their absence.

Based in Charlotte, NC, the position emphasizes strategic leadership, operational excellence, and compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting a diverse, high-performing university workforce.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Higher Education Administration, or a closely related field.
• Eight to ten years of progressively responsible HR leadership experience.
• Five years supervising professional staff and managing multiple HR functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in compensation, talent acquisition, benefits administration, HR policy development and workforce planning.
• Experience interpreting and applying employment laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with executive leadership and stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer and strategic partner to the CHRO.
• Provide leadership and oversight for talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, position management, and HR policy administration.
• Develop and implement workforce strategies that support recruitment, retention, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and university policies.
• Partner with academic and administrative leaders to address workforce needs and advance institutional priorities.
• Lead and develop HR staff while promoting operational excellence, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Utilize workforce data and industry best practices to inform strategic decision-making and drive HR initiatives.
