Job description

The North Tarrant Express (NTE) was the first

design-build-finance-operate-maintain

managed lanes project in Texas, involving the complete reconstruction of 13.3 miles of the I-820 / SH-183 corridor between Dallas and Fort Worth. Since opening in October 2014, the project has reduced congestion time by 70% and increased average speed by 15%, significantly improving mobility in Northeast Tarrant County.

The North Tarrant Express 35W (NTE 35W) project covers 16.8 miles from I-30 in downtown Fort Worth to Eagle Parkway at Alliance Airport, operated and maintained by a Cintra-led consortium. It enhances mobility through additional lanes, frontage roads, and tolled express lanes with variable pricing to maintain traffic flow.

The LBJ Express (LBJ) is Texas's largest P3 project, alleviating severe congestion in north Dallas along I-635 and I-35E. Since its opening in September 2015, it has decreased congestion time by 60% and increased average speed by 10%.

Job Description :

Summary : The Deputy Chief Executive Officer provides leadership to position the company at the industry forefront. They work alongside the CEO and executive team to develop strategic plans that promote revenue, profitability, and organizational growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Assist the CEO in overseeing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, customer service, and cost management.

Main responsibilities include :

  • Design, implement, and review the company's strategic plan.
  • Evaluate activity reports, financial statements, and budgets to track progress.
  • Present performance reports to shareholders and lead quarterly board meetings.
  • Analyze, finance, and execute large capital investment projects.
  • Optimize capital structure.
  • Participate in appointing and evaluating executive management.
  • Promote the company locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) :

  • Successful performance in similar roles, with reasonable accommodations for disabilities.

Education & Experience :

  • Master's degree, preferably in Engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years managing roadway contracts, design, construction, and operations of large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in concession operations and infrastructure project acquisition.
  • Strategic planning and execution experience.

Professional Qualities :

  • Motivational leadership and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution expertise.

Computer Skills :

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other PC programs.

Work Environment & Physical Demands :

  • Quiet work environment, with local, regional, and international travel as needed.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
