Saab, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer for the Computer and Electrical Engineering disciplines within the Surveillance team. You will partner with leadership to shape the technical baseline of the radar portfolio and ensure rigorous development across hardware and software domains.

Must have extensive DoD radar development experience, with strong lifecycle leadership, budgets, schedules, and executive-level communication. U.S. citizenship and security considerations apply.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of DoD radar development experience across systems, software, mechanical or electrical domains.
• Ability to interpret multidisciplinary technical concepts for technical and non-technical leadership.
• Understanding of full system development lifecycle and cross-discipline interactions.
• 10+ years of technical project management experience, including budgets and schedules.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for executive stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical oversight to Surveillance products and program development.
• Lead non-advocate reviews; provide feedback on design, integration, and test plans.
• Resolve highly complex hardware/software challenges; mentor teams.
• Guide technical discussions with customers and define technical roadmaps.
• Coordinate external technical interfaces and drive organizational strategies and objectives.
