Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer for the Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering discipline within the Surveillance team. The role partners with leadership to drive the technical baseline of the Surveillance radar portfolio and ensure rigorous development processes across hardware and software.

Ideal candidates bring 20+ years in DoD radar development, strong system engineering experience, and proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executives. U.S.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• MS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to the Surveillance products and program development.
• Lead non-advocate reviews, providing critical feedback on design, integration and test plans.
• Support resolution of highly complex technical challenges with Hardware and Software components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to the program and engineering teams.
• Lead key technical discussions with customers.
• Define technical roadmaps with the organization.
• Lead key technical activities to achieve organizational strategies and objectives.
• Coordinate external technical interfaces.
