Block is building a compliance program to enable the establishment of Builders Bank. We seek a Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to lead hands-on BSA/AML controls, OFAC screening, customer due diligence, and transaction monitoring for a federally chartered national trust bank.

This role collaborates with the CCO, risk, finance, legal, and first-line teams while maintaining independence from revenue goals. Strong leadership and regulatory readiness are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years in compliance, BSA/AML, or regulatory compliance at a federally supervised financial institution or similarly regulated firm.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML program requirements including CIP, CDD/EDD, SARs, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, FinCEN examinations or state regulators.
• Familiarity with CMS, testing, issue management, regulatory change management, and board reporting.
• Experience with digital asset AML risks, blockchain analytics, wallet screening, Travel Rule compliance.
• Independence from revenue-focused lines of business and ability to elevate issues to leadership.
• CAMS certification preferred and background in trust/custody environment would help.

Aufgaben

• Support the CCO/BSA Officer in building and maintaining the trust bank's Compliance Management System.
• Design, implement, and maintain BSA/AML policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and ongoing risk rating processes.
• Manage transaction monitoring, alert review, SAR support, andFinCEN reporting workflows.
• Assist with OFAC screening, Travel Rule, and digital asset wallet screening processes.
• Help implement blockchain analytics tools and develop AML typologies for custody activities.
• Coordinate monitoring and testing, track findings, remediation, and closure evidence.
• Support OCC examinations, document production, and management responses.
• Prepare regulatory change management materials and governance reporting.
• Support annual audits and remediation of supervisory findings.
