Blockchain.com in Dallas seeks a Deputy BSA & Sanctions Officer to lead the design and execution of a global BSA/AML and sanctions program. The role partners with the BSA Officer and cross‑functional teams to manage governance, regulatory engagement, and program delivery.

You will oversee transaction monitoring, investigations, SAR filings, OFAC reporting, EDD for high‑risk customers, and policy maintenance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in BSA/AML and Sanctions compliance, including program management and regulatory engagement.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. BSA/AML regulations, OFAC requirements, and financial crimes frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, regulatory reporting, and exams.

Responsibilities

• Support the BSA Officer in developing and enhancing a global BSA/AML and Sanctions program aligned with U.S. regulatory expectations.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, investigations, data validation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Lead annual BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessments with clear recommendations.
• Own and maintain BSA/AML and Sanctions policies and procedures across jurisdictions.
• Evaluate internal controls and drive continuous improvement in the program.
• Oversee enhanced due diligence for high‑risk customers and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure timely SAR filings with FinCEN and OFAC reporting (including VSDs).
• Provide guidance on complex investigations and case decisions.
• Develop KRIs, metrics, and leadership reports on program performance.
• Partner with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to embed controls in products.
• Lead regulatory exam prep and serve as regulator point of contact.
• Drive governance of policy documents and updates across jurisdictions.
• Manage audit findings and remediation efforts; coordinate state licensing (MTL).
• Support banking due diligence requests with timely information.
• Review new products for BSA/AML controls before launch.
• Lead strategic projects to scale the compliance program.
