Job summary

CoinDesk seeks a BSA/AML Officer to lead its compliance program for US regulated digital currency activities, covering spot trading, derivatives, and tokenized securities. The role focuses on designing controls, policies, and monitoring aligned with U.S. requirements.

Based in NYC, you will oversee reporting to FinCEN, regulators, and internal management, and you will mentor staff on anti-financial crime responsibilities in a fast-paced crypto environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial crime, BSA/AML, and risk management.
• Experience managing regulatory examinations with agencies (NYDFS, FINRA, NFA, SEC, CFTC).
• Extensive knowledge of BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations, and related rules.
• Awareness of local and US laws and international standards for digital assets.
• Proficiency with enterprise blockchain forensics tools for tracing activity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the tokenized securities, derivatives, and spot crypto compliance program.
• Develop and maintain BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessments and policies.
• Oversee regulatory reporting to FinCEN, SEC, CFTC, FINRA, NFA, NYDFS, and others.
• Train Bullish/CoinDesk teams on key policies and anti-financial crime controls.
• Coordinate with offshore affiliates to ensure U.S. regulatory compliance.
• Investigate on-chain activity and provide regulatory-ready summaries.
