Job summary

Texas A&M University–Kingsville invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor and Department Chair in Educational Leadership & Counseling. This is a 12-month appointment with a 50/50 split between department chairing and graduate/doctoral teaching.

The successful candidate will lead accreditation and program review, foster scholarly productivity, mentor graduate students, and collaborate with university committees to advance shared governance and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership, Counseling, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Tenured Associate Professor or Professor with excellence in graduate teaching, scholarship, and service.
• Experience with accreditation, program review, budgeting, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and doctoral courses; deliver instruction in multiple modalities.
• Maintain an active program of scholarship with research, publications, and grants.
• Provide departmental leadership for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and operations.
