This on-campus leadership role includes reduced teaching load for administrative duties, budgeting, faculty recruitment, and curriculum modernization.

The department offers BA in Psychology, BA in Communication, MA and MS programs; candidates should have PhD and a track record of scholarship and funding.

Qualifications

• PhD in psychology, communication, or closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of full-time faculty experience.
• Experience in faculty management and administration.
• Strong record of peer-reviewed scholarship and external funding.

Responsibilities

• Model, support, and reward faculty excellence in teaching, research, scholarship, and service.
• Assess, revise, and modernize curricula; coordinate course scheduling; oversee faculty hiring.
• Develop partnerships across the university and community; support recruitment and retention initiatives.
• Represent the department in college and university-level strategic planning.
