Job summary

CEVA Logistics in East Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Depot Management Senior Supervisor to oversee transportation and customs processes, supervise staff, and ensure accurate shipment documentation in compliance with federal and foreign regulations.

You will develop customer service standards, monitor performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating with operations teams to meet service levels and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; minimum four years related experience.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience; Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics or related discipline preferred or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping; Some professional certifications may be required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
• Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities; assist in retention and training of staff and customers; conduct staff meetings; address performance problems per policies.
• Oversee performance statistics; review shipment documentation for accuracy; ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations.
• Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight and volume for imported/exported goods; communicate with customs officials to obtain release and resolve delays.
• Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations.
• Identify areas of concern in clients’ import/export processes through monitoring team performance and client reviews.
• Communicate with operations manager regarding progress and issues; maintain flexible work schedule including after hours on-call rotation.
• Participate in and/or supervise department projects.
