Planet Depos, LLC is seeking a full-time Deposition Officer in Newark, NJ to manage audio and video recording during depositions. You will set up equipment, monitor audio levels, ensure proper framing, and assist clients with technical issues both on-site and remotely.

The role requires basic familiarity with legal proceedings, a professional appearance, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules, including after-hours commitments. Some college degree preferred.

Qualificações

• The ideal candidate will have some experience or knowledge of the legal industry.
• 2- or 4-year degree preferred and be comfortable with A/V technologies and digital recording.
• Have a professional appearance, and also experience with dealing face to face with professional clients.
• Adapt to unexpected circumstances and operate on a changing schedule, sometimes working after hours.
• Must have a reliable mode of transportation as well as the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Set up audio/video equipment quickly in new environments.
• Position and monitor microphone placement for clear audio.
• Mix multiple audio tracks and monitor for interference.
• Set white balance and exposure for various environments.
• Establish and monitor video framing per videography norms.
• Assist clients with audio, video, and technology issues in person or remotely.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of departmental policy, the legal field, and audio/video technology.
• Log key legal events, including spellings, exhibits, and objections.
• Swear in deponents and capture testimony under oath.
• Maintain a calm, neutral, professional demeanor.
