Job summary

Happen Bank in Boston (hybrid) is seeking a Deposit Operations Associate to keep deposits and ATM reconciliations accurate and timely across personal and commercial accounts. You will own your queue, resolve issues at first contact, and use AI-assisted tools to speed routine tasks while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires 2+ years in operations or banking, a high school diploma, and comfort with Microsoft Office, CRM, and Miser platforms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in operations, retail customer service, banking, or a call center environment, and a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience; bank operations or back‑office experience is a plus.
• You take ownership of customer concerns and resolve issues at the first point of contact rather than passing them along.
• You adapt quickly to new situations, think critically under pressure, and don't let the details slip in a fast‑paced back‑office environment.
• You're comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, CRM, and Miser platforms, and you pick up new systems fast.
• You look for ways AI and smart tools can help you work faster and catch errors before they become problems, and you speak up when you spot a better way to do something.
• You're timely and reliable, and you bring clear, effective written and verbal communication to every customer interaction and handoff

Responsibilities

• Process deposits, check exceptions, and ATM settlement and postings, catching issues before customers are affected.
• Complete online account transactions, openings, and service requests for personal and commercial customers, including levies and garnishments.
• Reconcile and balance deposit and ATM‑related GL accounts; support audits with accurate records.
• Apply knowledge of deposit products, procedures, and regulatory requirements to deliver empathetic service.
• Utilize AI-assisted resources to move through routine tasks faster and focus on calls needing judgment.
• Meet monthly quality and service standards and participate in additional projects as needed.
