Job summary

Westfield Bank is seeking a Deposit Operations Associate to support deposit operations by handling subpoenas research, account verifications, ACH load issues, and QA reviews of documents. The role requires accuracy, regulatory awareness and collaboration with internal teams and external parties.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic banking experience, solid customer service skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is a full-time, on-site position in Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of banking experience preferred.
• Good customer service skills/telephone etiquette.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve ACH Load Errors in the core system.
• Research customers, account records and transaction history in response to research requests, subpoenas and other legal requests.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely fulfillment of requests.
• Process verification of deposit account requests from authorized third parties.
• Ensure all paper verification requests are supported by proper customer authorization.
• Perform quality control of the indexed deposit documents in the Document Imaging system (ONBASE).
• Processes IAT Transactions.
• Perform verification of Stop Payment Maintenance.
• Process all Federal Benefit Payment Direct Deposit Requests.
• Crosstrain and provide backup coverage for all Deposit Operations Associate functions.
• Must complete BSA, AML, and other Regulatory and Continuing Education as assigned.
• Must adhere to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position. Performs additional duties as requested.
