Job summary

First Community Bank is seeking a Deposits Operations staff member in Lexington, SC to process deposit operations, ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance, and deliver high levels of service. The role includes cross-training across Deposit Sales Support and supporting various deposit products.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of banking experience, and strong attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years banking experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Basic math calculations.
• Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professionalism in dress and communication.

Responsibilities

• Review potentially fraudulent images and transactions daily and notify internal resources of suspects.
• Process Mobile Deposited items timely.
• Monitor Requests Inbox; process dormancy removals, fee refunds, and deposit rate exceptions.
• Research customer and staff requests; prepare information for Verification of Deposit and SSI forms.
• Support Cash Services Operations: ordering Branch/ATM/Foreign Currency, and processing foreign checks.
• Complete transaction reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and audit requests, including Reg D.
• Process interoffice mail and scan Deposit Sales Support documents.
• Assist Deposit Sales Support functions including account setup, documentation review, and various deposit products (Demand, Savings, CD, IRA, HSA, Safe Deposit Box, Sweep).
• Provide backup to all Deposit Sales Support functions including Transaction Exceptions, Return Items, Tax Reporting, SSA/SSI notices, levies, garnishments, bankruptcy and subpoenas.
• Assist with Escheat/Abandoned Property processing annually.
• Meet service level targets for responses and notices.
• Assist with internal and external audits and SOX reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
