Job summary

First Community Bank in Lexington, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist responsible for processing deposit operations with accuracy and regulatory compliance, while delivering high levels of service to customers and other bank departments.

You will cross-train in Deposit Sales Support, review images and transactions for potential fraud, handle mobile deposits, reconcile General Ledger, support cash services operations, and assist audits and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years bank experience.
• Active knowledge and practice of accounting principles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to compute basic to moderately complex math calculations.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Review deposits for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Process Mobile Deposited items and related requests.
• Monitor DSS inbox and process memos, dormancy removals, and fee refunds.
• Research and compile information for verification forms and other requests.
• Complete daily General Ledger reconciliation and research.
• Support Cash Services Operations including branch, ATM, and foreign currency activities.
• Process Foreign Check Collections and Reg D reviews as required.
• Assist with audits and ensure adherence to bank policies.
