Navarre Automotive in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a detail-oriented Deposit Clerk for our accounting team. You will bridge daily sales activity with banking records, ensuring accurate deposits and ledgers.

Two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, proficiency with Excel, and familiarity with accounting software are required. Automotive sector experience is a plus as you help ensure financial accuracy and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in bookkeeping, cash handling, or general accounting roles.
• Solid understanding of bank reconciliation processes.
• General ledger entry proficiency.
• Proficiency in Excel and common accounting software.
• Prior experience in the automotive industry is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Review daily financial transactions and prepare bank deposits for our various departments.
• Maintain accurate digital records of all daily cash and check receipts.
• Communicate clearly with department heads to track down missing documentation.
• Assist the broader finance team with month-end reporting tasks as requested.
• Ensure that all financial activities follow our internal company policies and industry standards.
