Job summary

Ballerine Inc. is seeking a Deployment Strategist for the USA to drive onboarding and risk/compliance implementations for payments customers.

You will translate requirements into rollout plans, coordinate with risk, compliance, operations, and engineering teams, and guide pilots to production. You will shape how each customer’s processes become agentic, define success criteria, and monitor outcomes after go-live such as approval rates and time-to-onboard.

The Role

Payment companies know they need to modernize merchant risk and compliance. The gap is execution: translating "we want agentic underwriting and monitoring" into a scoped plan with success metrics, an integration path, and stakeholders aligned, from the compliance officer to the CTO. You own that gap.

What You'll Do

• Lead discovery with acquirers, PSPs, and banks to understand their specific underwriting and monitoring workflows, constraints, and success criteria
• Define scope, success metrics, and rollout plans for pilots and production deployments
• Shape how each customer's processes become agentic: which steps to automate, where humans stay in the loop, and how risk and compliance stay covered
• Translate customer needs into clear plans for our Forward Deployed Engineers and product team
• Coordinate across customer stakeholders (risk, compliance, operations, engineering) and keep everyone aligned on what’s being built and why
• Track progress, manage risks, and remove blockers through to launch
• Measure outcomes after go-live (approval rates, time-to-onboard, false-positive reduction, compliance coverage) and drive expansion into new use cases

What You Bring

• Experience in deployment-focused, technical, or execution-oriented roles: solutions engineering, technical consulting, implementation, or forward deployed teams
• You structure ambiguous problems into concrete plans, and you’re comfortable with technical concepts: APIs, data flows, system integrations
• Strong stakeholder management, including senior risk and compliance stakeholders
• High ownership, clear communication, bias to action

A strong advantage: background in the space we serve: financial services, payments, acquiring, risk, or compliance.
