Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge the gap between software engineering and customer success. Working directly with customer engineering teams, this role is responsible for designing and implementing technical integrations, solving complex production challenges, and ensuring successful platform deployments. The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills with exceptional communication abilities and enjoys collaborating with customers to deliver impactful technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Solution Design & Implementation

• Partner directly with customer engineering teams to design, develop, and implement platform integrations.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions, reusable code samples, and technical demonstrations to accelerate adoption.
• Provide guidance on system architecture, API integrations, and scalable payment infrastructure.

Technical Onboarding & Deployment

• Lead the technical onboarding process from implementation through production launch.
• Troubleshoot integration issues involving APIs, SDKs, databases, and payment workflows.
• Ensure deployments are stable, efficient, and positioned for long‑term success.

Customer Success & Optimization

• Analyze integration performance and transaction data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend enhancements, new features, and workflow optimizations that maximize platform value.
• Partner with commercial teams by providing technical expertise during customer expansion opportunities.

Product & Engineering Collaboration

• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering recommendations.
• Develop internal documentation, implementation guides, and reusable technical assets.
• Contribute to scalable deployment processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Two to five years of software engineering or related technical experience.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React, including the ability to prototype, troubleshoot, and support customer implementations.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, software integrations, and distributed systems.
• Experience writing SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.

• Experience working within payments, financial technology, transaction processing, or related industries.
