Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployed Network Support Specialist to support expeditionary communications and network operations for a defense client. This on-site role is located in Carderock, MD or Golf Port, MS, and involves hands-on network and systems support for deployed units.

Responsibilities include planning and executing deployment phases, configuring routers, firewalls, DNS, AD, and Exchange, and ensuring secure connectivity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in deployed or operational network/systems support.
• Experience with routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange.
• Strong troubleshooting in high-tempo, mission-critical settings.
• IAT II certification and willingness to obtain CCNA.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Providing network engineering and technical guidance during deployment planning and execution phases
• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange environments
• Delivering direct computer and network support to deployed units, including rapid resolution of operational issues
• Supporting Information Assurance (IA) training initiatives and assisting with the D-30 deployment process
• Coordinating logistics for deployment hardware and software, including transportation, import permits, foreign clearances, and post-deployment documentation
