Job summary

BVG & Company is seeking an experienced Communication Specialist in Woodbridge, VA to support the NEST Communication Program. You will manage tactical radio, SATCOM, and data networks to maintain command and control during radiological emergencies and nuclear incident responses, blending technical, operational, and tactical expertise.

The role requires US citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to deploy globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent military training or federal law enforcement experience.
• Six years of hands-on experience supporting tactical and field network operations including radio, SATCOM, and secure data networks.
• Experience deploying tactical SATCOM terminals to establish data connectivity in degraded environments.
• Ability to travel up to 20% annually for training, standby operations, and rapid deployments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, align, and operate tactical SATCOM terminals to establish data connectivity.
• Support and manage tactical and strategic radio and data networks for command and control during emergencies.
• Plan, brief, and execute communications plans involving IT data systems, VTC, and radio systems.
